LaShawn Merritt and Shawn Crawford dominated their respective fields at the 2009 U.S. Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, and Terrence Trammell missed the gold by the slimmest of margins. In contrast to the 400 and 200 meter dashes, the 110 meter hurdles final was a remarkably close finish, with two-time Olympic silver medalist Trammell finishing second by only 3/1000 of a second.
Merritt, Crawford and Trammell will all compete in the World Track and Field Championships in Berlin in August.
